Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) - Hudson River Valley. The primary responsibility is to exceed established goals by delivering real value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.).
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet and comply with credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities as needed.
  • Execute additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
  • Candidates not meeting experience requirements may be considered for an “Associate” role.
  • Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter, goal- and results-driven with a proven track record.
  • Hunter mentality; ability to sell and compete.
  • Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory preferred.
  • Ability to travel (overnights may be required).
  • Overture travel to HQs, training, and sales meetings may be required.
  • Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

Education

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to operate a vehicle for local, regional, and overnight travel.
  • May require lifting/moving items up to 15 pounds.
