Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Hartford, CT West. Responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet and comply with credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, facilities, and government entities.
  • Undertake additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Required: BS or BA with GPA > 3.0; valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history.
  • Preferred: minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience; experience with atypical antipsychotics and/or orphan drugs; specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management; reimbursement experience; existing relationships with psychiatrists or Community Mental Health Centers.
  • Note: candidates not meeting work experience may be considered for an Associate role.
  • Self-starter with goal and results-driven mindset; hunter mentality; strong territory knowledge; ability to travel including overnights.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

  • Strong selling and negotiation skills, excellent communication (interpersonal, verbal, written).
  • Ability to navigate complex markets and organizations; high ethical standards.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and making sound decisions.
  • Customer-focused, self-motivated, and capable of using computer tools for reporting.
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally; occasional lifting up to 15 pounds.

Education

  • BS or BA degree; GPA > 3.0.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel (may include overnights) and potentially travel out of territory to HQs or training.
  • Work hours may extend beyond normal hours as needed.
