Role Summary
Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Harrisburg, PA. Exceeds established goals by delivering real value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities to maintain employment.
- Complete additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; associates considered if not meeting work experience requirements.
- Specialty experience: Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred; psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management experience considered; reimbursement experience preferred.
- Relationships: Existing relationships with psychiatrists or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
- Licenses: Valid driverβs license and clean driving history.
- Personal: Self-starter, goal- and results-driven; hunter mentality; strong territory knowledge; ability to travel (overnights possible); willingness to travel to HQs/trainings; work hours may extend outside normal hours.
