Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Harrisburg, PA. Primary responsibility is to exceed established goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance and results to maximize appropriate product use in the defined territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Comply with credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, facilities, and government regulations.
  • Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
  • Candidates not meeting work experience may be considered for an Associate role.
  • Atypical antipsychotic or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter, goal- and results-driven with a proven track record.
  • Hunter mentality with strong territorial knowledge and relationships preferred.
  • Ability to travel (overnights may be required).
  • Overt travel to HQs, training, and sales meetings may be required.
  • Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within the territory geography.
