Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Harrisburg, PA. Focused on exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, facilities, and governments as needed.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales preferred (candidates may be considered for an Associate role).
  • Experience with atypical antipsychotics and/or orphan drugs preferred.
  • Preferred: specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management; reimbursement experience.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
  • Valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history.

  • Strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred.
  • Ability to travel (including overnights); possible non-territory travel to HQs or meetings.
  • Work hours may extend beyond normal hours.
  • Ability to operate a vehicle and lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; strong organizational skills.

Education

  • BS or BA; GPA > 3.0.

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside within the territory geography.
  • Willingness to travel locally and possibly overnight; some responsibilities may require work outside standard hours.
