Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Harrisburg, PA. Exceeds goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within neuroscience sales.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, facilities, and government regulations.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred
  • Associate role considered for candidates not meeting experience requirements
  • Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management
  • Reimbursement experience preferred
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving history
  • Self-starter with goal- and results-driven mindset
  • Fortitude to sell and compete with hunter mentality
  • Strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred
  • Ability to travel (including overnights); some travel to HQs, training, and meetings may be required
  • Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours
  • Residence within territory geography

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside within territory geography
  • Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel locally and to HQs/training as needed
  • Potential lifting of items up to 15 pounds in some situations
