Role Summary

N Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Cape Girardeau, MO. Responsible for executing and promoting products within the assigned territory, achieving sales goals, and delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet credentialing requirements of providers, facilities, and government entities as needed.
  • Participate in additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; Associate role considered for lesser experience.
  • Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter, goal- and results-driven with a proven track record of above-average results.
  • Fortitude to sell and compete with a hunter mentality.
  • Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory preferred.
  • Ability to travel (may include overnights); occasional travel to HQs/trainings may be required.
  • Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel locally and regionally, including overnight travel.
  • Ability to lift/move items up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Education

  • BS or BA degree required.
