Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in assigned territory.
- Collaborate with District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use.
- Maintain current product, disease, competitive, and market reimbursement knowledge.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time) within territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete required monitoring and reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet credentialing requirements of healthcare providers/customer facilities/state/local governments.
- Additional, ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (may be considered for “Associate” if not met).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
- Must reside within territory geography; ability to travel (may include overnights); out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and sales meetings may be required.
- Ability to lift/move items up to 15 lbs (occasionally).
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience.
- Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Reimbursement experience.
- Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory.
- Self-starter with proven above-average results; “hunter” mentality; strong territory knowledge/relationships.
