Role Summary
Role: Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Birmingham, AL. Drive product promotion and access within the assigned territory to exceed sales goals, delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services.
Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the defined territory.
- Maintain a high and current level of product, disease, competitive and market reimbursement knowledge.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities.
- Complete additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; consideration for Associate role if not meeting requirements.
- Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Preferred: specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management; reimbursement experience.
- Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
- Valid driverβs license and clean driving history.
- Self-starter, goal- and results-driven; hunter mentality.
- Strong territory knowledge and ability to travel (overnights possible).
- Ability to travel to HQs, training, and meetings; may require hours outside normal schedule.
- Must reside within territory; valid license and driving record required; operate vehicle as needed.
- May require lifting/moving up to 15 pounds.
