Primary Responsibilities
- Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion direction.
- Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory.
- Maintain up-to-date product, disease, competitive, and market reimbursement knowledge.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets/time) in territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement in institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete required monitoring/reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Maintain full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet healthcare provider/customer facility/state/local credentialing requirements; complete ad-hoc projects.
Education & Experience Requirements
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (otherwise may be considered for βAssociateβ).
- Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management preferred.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory preferred.
- Valid driverβs license; clean driving history.
- Must reside within territory geography; ability to travel (including overnights) and possible off-hours meetings.
