Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) β€šΓ„Γ¬ Alaska. Focused on exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet and comply with credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, facilities, and government entities.
  • Participate in additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (candidates not meeting experience may be considered for an Associate role).
  • Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
  • Valid driverβ€šΓ„Γ΄s license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter, goal- and results-driven with a proven track record of above-average results.
  • Fortitude to compete and a hunter mentality; strong territory knowledge.
  • Ability to travel (including overnight) and occasional travel to HQs/trainings.
  • Work hours may extend beyond normal schedule.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

Skills

  • Strong communication (interpersonal, verbal, written) and advanced selling/negotiation skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex markets and organizations.
  • Customer-focused, self-motivated, and proficient with computers.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle for travel.

Education

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel (may include overnights) and occasional out-of-territory travel to HQs and training.
  • Essential functions may require lifting up to 15 pounds.
