Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the Neuroscience District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy for product promotion activities.
- Analyze the local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within territory.
- Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate effectively with target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Complete monitoring/reporting requirements (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet healthcare provider/customer/government credentialing requirements.
- Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- BS/BA with GPA > 3.0.
- Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (may consider “Associate” otherwise).
- Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
- Preferred specialty experience: psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
- Reimbursement experience preferred.
- Existing relationships (or within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in territory preferred.
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving history.
- Self-starter with a proven track record; “hunter” mentality; strong territory knowledge.
- Ability to travel (including overnights); out-of-territory travel to HQ/training/meetings may be required.
- Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours; must reside within territory geography.
