Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) with primary responsibility to exceed established goals by delivering value through differentiated products and services in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate use of the product in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and government entities as a condition of continued employment.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
  • Associate role considered for those not meeting experience requirements.
  • Experience with atypical antipsychotics and/or orphan drugs preferred.
  • Preferred experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with goal- and results-driven mindset.
  • Hunter mentality with ability to compete and sell.
  • Strong territory knowledge and relationships preferred.
  • Ability to travel, including overnights; travel to HQs/training may be required.
  • Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

  • Ability to navigate complex markets and organizations.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective selling and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and field reporting tools.

Education

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and acceptable driving record, and be able to operate a motor vehicle for local, regional, and occasional overnight travel.
  • May require lifting/moving items up to 15 pounds.
