About The Role
This role leads a sales team promoting life-changing treatments for people with serious neurological, endocrine and psychiatric disorders. Recruits and develops a diverse, high-performing team to exceed sales goals within an assigned region, managing key projects and collaborating with commercial cross-functional teams. Provides strategic direction, field coaching, and develops specialty pharmacy fulfillment access strategies. Builds relationships with internal/external stakeholders and executes successful sales meetings.
Territory
Portland, OR | Salem, OR | Tacoma, WA | Olympia, WA. Regional Specialty Manager may be located in any of these regions.
Your Contributions
- Lead regional sales team by recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent
- Provide strategic direction and performance coaching; support onboarding
- Drive implementation of sales strategies to meet/exceed objectives; develop psychiatric/neurological market strategies
- Identify regional opportunities; remove barriers; foster best practices
- Analyze sales data/market trends; hold team accountable; conduct field coaching
- Provide regular performance feedback and development opportunities
- Manage regional budgets/expenses; ensure compliance with policies and FDA/industry standards
- Maintain open communication with headquarters
- Develop relationships with key opinion leaders/HCPs; engage advocacy groups
- Coordinate with pharmacies and payers to optimize market access
- Align with marketing, training, sales operations, and other departments
Requirements
- BS/BA and 8+ years biotech/pharma sales, including 3+ years first-line sales management (building/leading a team)
- Preferred: Masterβs with 6+ years; OR PhD with 4+ years
- Proven sales performance; successful complex launch experience; strong analytical/problem-solving and communication
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory environment; ethical standards; ability to lead through ambiguity
