Role Summary

Neurology District Sales Manager - Mid-Atlantic District

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a specialty sales team focused on CNS/neurology products, driving high performance and achieving district sales targets.
  • Recruit, retain, and coach a team of specialty sales representatives; provide mentorship and leadership to optimize field effectiveness.
  • Manage travel up to 75% and operate in a fast-paced, innovative environment while maintaining relationships with healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure appropriate credentialing and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize strong analytical and business acumen to inform strategic decisions and sustain pipeline growth.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree a plus.
  • Required: 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with 4 years of sales management preferred.
  • Preferred: Specialty experience in CNS, neurology, pain management; MS market experience desirable.
  • Required: Proven ability to recruit, retain, and develop high-performing specialty sales teams; documented track record of sales leadership.
  • Required: Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel locally, regionally, and occasionally overnight.
  • Required: Ability to secure credentialing for healthcare providers and facilities; ability to build strong professional relationships.
  • Required: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and business acumen.
  • Required: Residence near a major airport within the district; ability to perform essential functions with reasonable accommodations if needed.
  • Preferred: Experience in small company and startup environments.

Skills

  • Excellent leadership and people management; ability to coach and mentor specialty sales representatives.
  • Clinical, patient-centric, and tactical selling with effective presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree; advanced degree a plus.
