Role Summary

Neurology Account Manager โ€šร„รฌ San Francisco, CA. Associate Neurology Account Manager or Neurology Account Manager responsible for exceeding goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the neuroscience portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the defined territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competition, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with all laws, regulations, and Vanda Policies.
  • Meet credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, facilities, and governing bodies for continued employment.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed.

Education

  • BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.

Experience Requirements

  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and a clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with goal- and results-driven track record.
  • Fortitude to sell and compete with a hunter mentality.
  • Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory preferred.
  • Ability to travel (may include overnights).
  • Out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and sales meetings may be required.
  • Work hours may include meetings outside of normal working hours.
  • Must reside within territory geography.

Skills

  • Highly clinical, patient-centric, and tactical with excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written).
  • Ability to navigate complex markets and organizations.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective selling and presentation skills; computer proficient.

Additional Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and acceptable driving record; able to operate a motor vehicle for local, regional, and occasional overnight travel.
