This position will be part of a sales team focused on the psychiatry space responsible for the performance of a long-acting injectable therapy for schizophrenia and promoting Psychiatry products in the Chicago, IL area.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Achieve sales performance goals and objectives for geographical assignment.
- Coordinate with sales leadership and other Teva teams (market access, sales operations, training).
- Develop business plans to meet/exceed territory-level goals; sell across different settings of care and identify key opportunities.
- Build rapport and relationships with HCPs and office staff; respond appropriately to their needs.
- Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing.
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to promote products and provide product/patient education.
- Maintain call average per sales plan with face-to-face interactions focused on top targets.
- Use traditional and non-traditional problem-solving to improve performance and effectiveness.
- Adhere to compliance policies and guidelines.
Your Skills And Experience
Education/Certification/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; psychiatric therapeutic area experience strongly preferred.
- Record of achieving sales goals and building customer relationships.
- Experience launching psychiatric-space products across multiple settings of care.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Interact with customers in live and virtual environments; proficiency with technology.
- Understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull-through strategies; experience in CMHC, specialty pharmacy, and private practice.
- Demonstrated leadership/interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication.
- Experience calling on CMHC is a plus.
- Ability to travel as required (overnight/weekend).
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record; pass background/motor/drug screening.
- Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
Compensation/Level (as stated)
- Sales Specialist: minimum 1 year.
- Executive Sales Specialist: minimum 7 years.
- Starting salary: $88,000–$160,000 annually; eligible for sales incentive plan.
