National Sales Director - East

Role: Build and lead the Eastern US field sales team for a biopharma company launching its first-in-class ophthalmic therapy for wet AMD. Responsibilities: recruit, develop, and coach 10 Key Account Managers; develop regional sales and account strategies; drive formulary access and product adoption; collaborate with marketing, medical, and market access teams; manage forecasting, reporting, and regional budgets; oversee US launch activities, including team readiness and account engagement playbooks. Requirements: Bachelor's degree; 8+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, including in ophthalmology or retina; 3+ years of sales management leading teams; knowledge of buy-and-bill reimbursement; willingness to travel extensively in the Eastern US. Preferred: experience with first-in-class therapies and existing ophthalmology relationships; familiarity with CRM and analytics platforms.
