PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Market Access Leadership
- Serve as primary corporate account lead for priority IDNs and targeted organized customers/decision-makers.
- Develop and execute national account strategies across IDNs, academic medical centers, large health systems, and cancer centers.
- Engage pharmacy leadership, supply chain, finance, population health, quality, and clinical stakeholders to support access objectives.
- Lead engagement plans to improve formulary access, operational readiness, reimbursement optimization, and financial adoption.
- Support health system/organized customer contracting strategies.
- Collaborate with Pricing, Trade, and Contracting to evaluate opportunities and optimize access positioning.
- Provide payer/provider dynamic insights impacting adoption/utilization.
- Identify adoption barriers and develop customized solutions aligned to customer operational/financial objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Sales, Medical Affairs, Trade, HEOR, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Patient Services.
Pre-Approval Information Exchange (PIE)
- Lead compliant PIE engagements to support awareness and planning for launches/label expansions.
- Deliver compliant FDA-guideline messaging on clinical/economic/operational value.
- Educate stakeholders on product impact, reimbursement pathways, coding, and implementation planning.
- Build/present budget impact analyses, pro forma models, and economic value assessments; quantify financial implications (e.g., acquisition cost, site-of-care economics, infection/readmission reduction, operational efficiencies, patient outcomes).
HUB & Patient Services Collaboration
- Partner with HUB/patient support teams to optimize onboarding, benefit verification, prior authorization support, financial assistance, and therapy access.
- Ensure stakeholders understand workflows; provide feedback to improve HUB effectiveness.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Strong payer/provider economics knowledge (inpatient/outpatient).
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and presentation skills.
- Cross-functional leadership and collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA/MPH/PharmD/MS (or related) preferred.
- 8β12+ years in pharma/biotech/specialty pharmacy/healthcare consulting/market access.
- Experience with IDNs, academic medical centers, organized health systems, and institutional customers.
- Travel up to 50% (national), including overnight(s), in NJ and Chicago, and assigned conferences.
