Position Summary:
- The National Account Director (NAD) ensures broad patient access for new product launches by managing strategic national and regional payer accounts (Medicare Part D, Commercial Plans, State/Managed Medicaid, and PBMs) in alignment with corporate goals. Works cross-functionally with Sales, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Compliance, Contracting, and Legal. Reports to the Vice President, Market Access.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with C-suite, Medical/Pharmacy Directors, Case Management, Clinical/Financial teams, and P&T Members to identify needs, priorities, and product opportunities.
- Influence care protocols and clinical pathways to address care gaps and improve patient outcomes.
- Develop and execute strategic/tactical account plans (coverage decisions, stakeholder needs, and mapping business goals).
- Execute corporate strategy and apply the Payer Value Proposition for optimal access/formulary positioning.
- Proactively address issues to ensure alignment and strong positioning for formulary and P&T reviews.
- Achieve market access goals through positive formulary coverage across key accounts.
- Drive business planning and disciplined organizational communication; collaborate closely with field teams.
- Track marketplace intelligence; serve as a Medicaid market access expert with internal business partners.
- Represent company values at relevant professional association meetings/conventions.
- Maintain an enterprise perspective and ensure compliance with applicable laws/regulations/guidelines.

Required Expertise/Qualifications:
- 6+ years of National Account Management experience.
- Demonstrated success with state Medicaid plans and multi-state Medicaid purchasing pools, with positive relationships with key decision makers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Strong Medicaid channel mastery, including gaining new branded product acceptance with nationwide Medicaid programs.
- Ability to leverage HEOR/pharmacoeconomic data to build a value story for formulary acceptance.
- Experience interfacing with C-suite and high-level payer/health system executives.

Pay Range:
- $184,000 - $276,000 per year.
