Role Summary
National Account Director - CVS/AET/ANTH role focusing on building and differentiating Novo Nordisk products within targeted payer accounts to influence patient access and care. Develops strategic relationships with national payers, PBMs, and key stakeholders to drive formulary placement and long-term mutually beneficial engagements. Collaborates across MAPA and NNI to develop access solutions and robust business plans.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with targeted payer accounts to influence patient access and care, including formulary placement considerations.
- Lead RFP responses for targeted customers and manage the process from request to signed contract.
- Represent the National Accounts team in pricing and contracting discussions and continuously assess contract performance.
- Understand pricing implications and downstream impacts of evolving public policy and regulatory landscapes.
- Develop and sustain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives, within customer accounts.
- Collaborate with downstream account teams and relevant stakeholders to drive contract execution and pull-through strategies.
- Evolve and execute a customer engagement strategy that goes beyond formulary access and aligns with customer strategy.
- Master product and disease state knowledge, differentiating Novo Nordisk products and aligning with customer and patient needs.
- Develop and execute multi-year business plans, including contracting and engagement strategies, to achieve goals.
- Monitor contract performance and identify business opportunities; ensure timely administrative reporting and CRM usage.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree required
- Master's Degree in a business-relevant field preferred
- Previous experience as a people manager preferred
- Minimum of 6 years successful account management experience within the healthcare market; relevant Novo Nordisk experience may be substituted where appropriate
- At least 10 years pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience required, 5 of which in a commercial or sales-related function
- Multiple channel and customer experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to deliver effective customer presentations
