Main Responsibilities
Be a strategic partner and influencer:
- Serve as the trusted bridge between Controlling Operations and Finance Business Partners, translating process and data into insight that drives cohesive, aligned decisions.
- Foster strategic partnerships with business leaders and the Service Delivery Hub team to align and provide transparency of targets.
- Challenge legacy ways of working; identify gaps across BUs/functions/GBU and shape improved ways of working.
- Provide ad-hoc OPEX support to the Vaccines Head of Finance and FP&A, including cross-SPC NA analyses.
- Support strategy and results using OPEX analysis to drive standardization and automation.

Own the operational foundation:
- Design and implement new ways of working with Finance Business Partners and the Transversal OPEX Team.
- Provide end-to-end oversight of Controlling Operations core model processes and Vaccines NA OPEX service quality.
- Own OPEX planning, budget, and forecast processes (P&L roll-up/analytics, accounting, month-end close) with Transversal OPEX.
- Roll up/challenge budget-vs-actuals and flux analyses; build P&L bridges and metrics for Total OPEX and Headcount.
- Support close and landing exercises; participate in Monthly Expense Reviews.
- Execute the budgeted OPEX plan (track actuals, approve projects, direct business owners).
- Ensure tasks are delivered accurately/on time and in adherence to internal controls.
- Support SHIFT and SMART Spend initiatives; build expertise across OPEX-related financial systems/processes.
- Educate client groups on financial policies, processes, and internal control requirements.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CPA desirable.
- Minimum 5 years of diversified financial/accounting experience.
- Pharmaceutical/related industry experience preferred; experience leading/managing people preferred.
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, V-lookups, macros) required.
- SAP, TM1, SHIFT experience preferred.
