Main Responsibilities
- Provide inspirational leadership and focus to the NA TA Medical team to ensure delivery of key NA Medical strategy and priorities.
- Lead, develop, and recruit to form a highly performing collaborative team; oversee development, execution, and oversight of the TA Medical brand strategy.
- Oversee management of the TA Medical budget.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders: Global Medical, R&D, Commercial, Regulatory, Legal, Scientific Communications, Pharmacovigilance, and Public Affairs.
- Communicate externally as a representative of the functional unit; engage HCPs, key thought leaders, medical associations, professional societies, and other external organizations.
- Utilize medical insights from field teams to inform the Medical Plan.
- Identify and implement impactful medical research projects (Sanofi-sponsored, external collaborations, and investigator-initiated studies) to support strategic medical objectives.
- Coordinate and execute other NA medical affairs functions as applicable (e.g., compassionate use programs).
- Integrate health economics research into customer programs and initiatives.
- Maintain understanding and strict environment of integrity and compliance consistent with regulations, laws, and US operating principles and policies.

Qualifications
- Advanced degree required; M.D., PhD, PharmD, or equivalent preferred.
- 7+ years of job-related experience required; combination of clinical, medical, and academia preferred.
- Transplant experience strongly preferred; open to other TAs (e.g., oncology, hematology).
- Travel up to 30–40% domestic and international.
- Must be able to work in the office 3 days/week.

Professional Competencies / Skills
- Knowledge of treatments, product labeling, and federal regulations for pharmaceutical promotion and industry-sponsored scientific/educational activities.
- Strong scientific and business acumen.
- Business planning and leadership skills (data analysis, goal setting, action plans, monitoring).
- Experience translating medical/clinical information into medical affairs strategies.
- Ability to lead and influence teams; manage diverse direct/indirect work groups; motivate and maximize productivity.
- Strong communication skills; credibility with thought leaders.
- Knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, and health economics/policy.
- Thorough understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other ethical guidelines.

- Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to convey complex evidence to senior management and external stakeholders.
