Role: Field-based Scientific Expert supporting AbbVie's research and business objectives within designated therapeutic areas, primarily immunology, oncology, and neuroscience. Objectives include developing expert relationships with healthcare professionals, providing medical and scientific education, supporting research initiatives, and facilitating internal and external communications. Responsibilities involve engaging thought leaders, presenting scientific data, assisting with investigator-initiated studies, and serving as a scientific resource to healthcare providers. The role also entails supporting cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies, and maintaining detailed documentation. Qualifications required include an advanced degree (Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, or equivalent), with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience for Senior MSLs and 0-2 years for MSLs; experience in endocrinology, metabolic, obesity, or gastroenterology is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and be proficient in standard software tools. Willingness to travel up to 75% and reside within the territory (DC, MD, DE, Eastern PA) is essential. The position involves collaboration with medical affairs, commercial teams, and external healthcare professionals, with a focus on science dissemination and research support in clinical settings.
