Medical Affairs
Role: Field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL)/Senior MSL supporting AbbVie's immunology, oncology, and neuroscience therapeutic areas across DC, Maryland, and Delaware. Objectives: provide scientific expertise, foster relationships with healthcare professionals, support research initiatives, and facilitate medical education. Responsibilities: develop key thought leader relationships, present scientific data on disease states and therapies, support investigator-initiated research, collaborate with cross-functional teams, address medical inquiries, and train internal staff; ensure compliance with regulations and maintain accurate documentation. Requirements: advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent), minimum 3 years relevant experience for Senior MSL or 0-2 years for MSL, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in MS Office, and ability to travel up to 75%. Preferred: experience in immunology, oncology, or neuroscience; familiarity with clinical research, and experience supporting research activities or KOL engagement. High-Value: therapeutic areas include immunology, oncology, neuroscience; focus on current and pipeline therapies; supporting both research and commercial objectives within regulated GxP environment.
