MSL/Senior MSL, Gastroenterology (Washington, DC area)

Role: Field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL)/Senior MSL supporting AbbVie's immunology, oncology, and neuroscience therapeutic areas across DC, Maryland, and Delaware. Objectives: Serve as a scientific expert, fostering relationships with healthcare professionals to support research and commercial initiatives. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders and researchers; present scientific and clinical information on disease states and therapies; support research activities, investigator meetings, and external collaborations; collaborate with internal teams including Commercial and Medical Affairs; provide medical education, respond to medical inquiries, and ensure compliance with policies. Requirements: Advanced degree (Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, or Nurse Practitioner), with 0-3 years relevant experience (Senior or entry-level MSL); proficiency in clinical and scientific communication; strong interpersonal, presentation, organizational, and planning skills; ability to travel up to 75%; valid credentials for healthcare facility access. Preferred: Experience in immunology, oncology, or neuroscience therapeutic areas; familiarity with research support, investigator engagement, and cross-functional collaboration; ability to analyze territory-specific needs.
