Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, coordinate, and support activities of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) within a designated geographic region to achieve scientific and business objectives in Dermatology Medical Affairs.
- Coach and mentor a designated number of MSLs; conduct annual performance reviews, growth and succession planning, and real-time field reports using field travel plus data analysis.
- Address performance issues in accordance with company guidelines and Performance Excellence.
- Maximize in-field team effectiveness by ensuring adequate communications and interaction between MSLs and the field sales organization per compliance/regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with clinical partners (e.g., Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Medical Value and Access, Site Management and Monitoring).
- Ensure MSLs have necessary tools, training, and materials; identify and partner on projects that enhance organizational impact and support therapeutic medical objectives.
- Ensure compliance with corporate/divisional policies: maintain required databases; document EE/HCP customer interactions and responses to unsolicited requests; adhere to regulatory/compliance guidelines for scientific dissemination; manage activities within assigned budget.

Territory includes: PA, NJ, MD

Qualifications:
- Advanced scientific degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, PA, NP); doctorate strongly preferred in a health science/clinical discipline.
- 3–5 years’ experience (greater than 7 preferred) with demonstrated leadership success in pharmaceutical field-based and/or industry experience; Dermatology/Immunology preferred.
- Flexibility in adapting to changing market dynamics; comfort with ambiguity; high urgency and commitment to excellence.
- Excellent planning/organizational skills; ability to work in cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual, administrative, and communication (oral/written/presentation) skills; strong problem solving/analytics and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with standard computer technologies and integrated business software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
- Demonstrated exceptional business judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities; identify/analyze business needs and translate problems into opportunities.
- Knowledge of personnel management (recruitment, hiring, progressive discipline, coaching, motivation).
