Responsibilities:
- Deploy the VRD Excellence Model (VRD EM) within the function in alignment with the global OE strategy.
- Conduct diagnostics/gap analyses with operational teams to identify improvement opportunities.
- Select and apply appropriate OE methodologies for improvement initiatives.
- Ensure initiatives follow core Operational Excellence principles.
- Support/lead improvements when specific OE competencies are required; measure initiative impact.
- Ensure consistent use of standard problem-solving (practical improvement) processes.
- Monitor and report progress of OE activities to the Head of Function OE.
- Sustain improvements by integrating them into function performance management routines.
- Define change strategy and drive efficient adoption.
- Build OE capabilities: assess development needs, create training plans, deliver training/coaching, validate initiative leadersโ skills, and promote feedback/continuous learning.
- Ensure adoption of OE standards, routines, and methodologies.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives; share best practices and harmonize OE efforts.
- Perform return-on-experience (ROE) and capitalization; capture and share lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS (Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or relevant field) + at least 5 yearsโ Operational Excellence experience.
Required skills:
- Operational excellence, Agile, and Lean methodologies.
- Matrix and cross-functional experience.
- Workshop facilitation/animation to co-build solutions.
- Project management (risk, timelines, stakeholder alignment).
- Root cause analysis and structured problem resolution.
Preferred skills:
- Change management; training/design/storytelling & facilitation.
- Data analysis for performance monitoring.
- Ability to bridge digital innovation with operational excellence.
