Monitoring & Observability Staff Engineer

Role: Senior technical leader responsible for defining and implementing Insmed's enterprise observability strategy across global network, infrastructure, and cloud environments. Responsibilities include architecting multi-year roadmaps, managing Dynatrace platform architecture, integrating telemetry tools such as ThousandEyes and native cloud monitoring, automating monitoring processes, and guiding best practices for full-stack observability. The role involves leading architecture reviews, designing SLAs/SLOs, acting as escalation point for major incidents, and mentoring engineers across teams. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or related field; 10+ years in IT infrastructure, monitoring, or network engineering; deep hands-on experience with Dynatrace (including OneAgent, ActiveGate, Davis AI, SLOs), multi-cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), and observability tools (Grafana, Splunk). Skills include automation (Python, Terraform), cloud native architectures, and network protocols (Cisco, BGP, VPN). Preferred: Azure Monitor exposure and experience in GxP-regulated environments. Work setup: hybrid, based in Bridgewater, NJ, with remote options.
