Maintenance Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Oversee safe, high-quality, timely maintenance and repairs across the Rahway site (facilities and utilities systems/equipment).
- Lead and manage union trades team performance, safety/training compliance; collaborate with union timekeeper to manage overtime.
- Own assigned areas by identifying issues, developing solutions, and driving them to completion.
- Partner with planners to identify/specify equipment, develop repair plans, ensure parts/tools/resources, and verify work meets site/company standards.
- Interface with internal customers to characterize problems, develop/implement solutions, and communicate status/progress.
- Coordinate with other trades/area supervisors; manage training schedule, attendance, and performance for policy compliance.
- Manage trade attendance, assign scheduled work orders, issue/sign work permits, support energy isolation/equipment clearance/lockout-tagout.
- Track work order progress and ensure accurate/complete CMMS documentation; complete/close work orders, including GMP-governed documentation.
Minimum Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education/Certifications:
- Vocational/technical school certification.
Required Experience/Skills:
- 10+ years in applicable trade (pipefitting/plumbing, electrical, millwright, HVAC).
- Experience supervising trades in an industrial environment.
- Strong electrical background preferred.
Physical/Work Conditions:
- Ability to lift/bend/move; safely operate required hand/power tools and trade equipment.
- Work may be in shop and/or plant operations; environmental conditions vary.
