Role Summary

Mgr, Access & Reimbursement Specialty - Kansas/Nebraska is a role focused on enabling patient access to GSK Specialty products, requiring strong problem-solving and collaboration in a complex environment. The role demands exemplary customer engagement, business ownership, and deep understanding of reimbursement and access processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support access to GSK Specialty products for appropriate patients.
  • Educate providers on payer coverage, coding and payment policies related to GSK specialty products and explain GSK Patient Support Programs designed to help patients access GSK medicines.
  • Interface with internal teams including Payer Account Managers, Specialty Pharmacy Account Directors and Specialty Sales professionals.
  • Analyze access/reimbursement issues and opportunities.
  • Provide offices with product access/reimbursement expertise.
  • Provide access/reimbursement education to field teams.
  • Coordinate on access/reimbursement issues with third parties including hubs.
  • Support patient access to products by providing subject matter expertise on reimbursement barriers.
  • Report to Director of Specialty Access & Reimbursement.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Required: 3+ years’ experience in Field Reimbursement, Payer Marketing, Specialty or Biologics Field Sales (HCP administered or Specialty Pharmacy provided).
  • Required: Ability to travel 2 days/week with overnight travel; reside in Kansas or Nebraska; valid driver’s license.
  • Preferred: MBA, MPH or other advanced degree.
  • Preferred: 6+ years’ experience in Field Reimbursement, Specialty or Biologics Field Sales, Payer Marketing, or Patient Support Programs.

Skills

  • Knowledge of payer environment (state, federal, private third-party) and reimbursement methodologies; payer policies for HCP and self-administered drugs.
  • Customer focus, relationship-building, issue resolution, problem-solving and project management.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and lead in a matrix environment without direct reports.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Knowledge of provider office and hospital outpatient reimbursement environments, regulations, customers, and account-based planning.
  • Knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy access process and reimbursement dynamics across Commercial, Medicare Parts A-D and state Medicaid.
  • Understanding of HCPCS, CPT, and ICD-10 coding regulations.
  • Experience with HUB or reimbursement call centers in support of patient access.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required).
