Role responsibilities:
- Perform calibrations and maintain the calibration scheduling system to facility requirements.
- Coordinate instrument re-certification with outside standards laboratories, including incoming inspections and documentation reviews.
- Maintain Metrology Department routine laboratory cleaning, filing paperwork, and equipment manuals.
How you will contribute:
- Follow calibration testing sequence and perform all tasks in compliance with applicable SOPs.
- Set up standard and special purpose lab equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments.
- Efficiently manage scheduled calibrations to optimize resources and minimize manufacturing impact.
- Maintain calibration schedules in a computerized metrology management system.
- Identify metrology program inefficiencies and implement cost/time-effective solutions.
- Complete mandatory training within required timeframe.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent (required); AS/BS in technical field (preferred).
- 1–5 years relevant metrology experience (preferred).
- Working knowledge of cGMP; FDA 21 CFR Part 11, 210/211; ISO 14644 and 17025 (preferred).
- Follow SOPs; initiative; ability to break down complex systems into assignable tasks.
- Work independently and with a team to complete metrology activities on time.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
Working conditions:
- Controlled manufacturing environment with special gowning/PPE; remove makeup/jewelry/contact lenses/nail polish/artificial fingernails.
- Cold/wet environment; multiple shifts/weekends/supplemental hours as needed; work around chemicals.
Compensation/benefits (as stated):
- Brooklyn Park, MN: $21.59–$33.90 hourly wage range.
