Responsibilities:
- Lead management, improvement, and support of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) across the GSK Zebulon, NC site.
- Represent the site with central platform teams; prioritize MES needs; ensure reliable operations and timely incident support (incl. off-hours escalation).
- Lead MES incident/problem/change management (triage, root cause, CAPAs to completion).
- Facilitate rapid-improvement workshops to enhance MES-supported processes and usability.
- Lead eBRS workflow design/improvement; configure/test/deploy simple–medium changes locally; coordinate larger changes centrally/with partners.
- Manage MES initiatives (upgrades, integrations, deployments, retirements) through requirements, testing, validation, cutover, and hypercare.
- Ensure MES compliance, validation, data integrity; maintain documentation and serve as SME during audits/inspections.
- Coach/mentor users; provide shop-floor engagement.
- Provide on-call/escalation support as needed (occasional evenings/weekends).
- Own site MES demand/roadmap and user access/role management (segregation of duties, periodic reviews).
- Track KPIs (uptime, incident trends, release quality, cycle-time impacts) and manage vendor engagements as applicable.
- Lead/develop a small site MES solutions team.

Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree (engineering/CS/IS or related) or equivalent.
- 5+ years supporting/managing MES in regulated manufacturing.
- Pharma manufacturing process knowledge.
- MES platform experience (eBRS, Weigh & Dispense, IPC, Serialization) incl. design/config/admin/troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with electronic batch records; computer system validation.
- System interfacing knowledge (ERP, LIMS, historians, PLC/SCADA).
- Cross-functional stakeholder management; process improvement leadership; leading small teams/matrix influence.

Preferred:
- MES implementations/upgrades/lifecycle in pharma/highly regulated industries.
- Agile improvement cycles; people leadership; vendor/service contract management.
- Process control/industrial automation; scripting/query and process trending tools; advanced degree.
