MES Architect

Role: MES Architect overseeing manufacturing execution systems at Lilly's new Houston API site for small-molecule medicines, focusing on design, implementation, and validation of MES infrastructure. Responsibilities: define MES architecture aligned with ISA-95/88 standards; lead requirements gathering, system design, and lifecycle management; ensure integration with enterprise systems like ERP and DCS; manage validation and compliance (21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5); mentor technical teams; support site startup, commissioning, and go-live activities. Requirements: Bachelor's in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related; 8+ years' experience with tier-one MES platforms, especially Emerson Syncade, in GMP environments; expertise in validation, MBR/EBR authoring, and system lifecycle. Preferred: experience with Tulip, DeltaV, ISA standards, and GxP-regulated pharma manufacturing; proven leadership and stakeholder management skills; familiarity with agile methodologies.
