Role Summary
Medical Science Liaison (Psychiatry) – Southwest. This role engages in scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals as part of the Medical Affairs team, participates in Medical Affairs project assignments, and communicates scientific concepts effectively to multiple audiences. It supports key department functions and inter-departmental initiatives related to medical information and broader Medical Affairs activities.
Responsibilities
- Engage in scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals as part of the Medical Affairs team.
- Participate in Medical Affairs project assignments.
- Communicate scientific concepts effectively to multiple audiences — verbally, graphically, and in writing.
- Contribute to key department functions (e.g., medical information) and inter-departmental initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required: Doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, MD).
- Required: Prior experience in a psychiatry-related field.
- Preferred: Pharmaceutical industry experience in schizophrenia and mood disorders.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience as an MSL or in Medical Affairs.
- Preferred: Experience in clinical research and/or direct patient care.
- Required: Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to a variety of audience types.
- Required: Adept at building and maintaining relationships with others.
- Required: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Required: Demonstrated ability to adapt within a dynamic environment.
- Required: Willingness to travel 75% and easy access to a major metropolitan airport.
