Role Summary
Medical Science Liaison (Psychiatry) – Mid-Atlantic region. The role involves scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals, participation in Medical Affairs projects, and clear communication of scientific concepts to diverse audiences. It also supports key department functions and inter-departmental initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Engage in scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals as part of the Medical Affairs team.
- Participate in Medical Affairs project assignments.
- Communicate scientific concepts effectively to multiple audiences — verbally, graphically, and in writing.
- Contribute to key department functions (e.g., medical information) and inter-departmental initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required: Doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, MD)
- Required: Prior experience in psychiatry-related field; preference for pharmaceutical industry experience in schizophrenia and mood disorders
- Preferred: 2+ years as an MSL or in Medical Affairs
- Preferred: Experience in clinical research and/or direct patient care
- Required: Exemplary written and verbal communication skills to present complex information to diverse audiences
- Required: Adept at building and maintaining relationships
- Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Required: Ability to adapt within a dynamic environment
- Required: Willingness to travel 75% and easy access to a major metropolitan airport
