Role Summary
Medical Science Liaison in Psychiatry serving the Mid-Atlantic region. The role focuses on scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals, contribution to Medical Affairs projects, and effective communication of complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Engage in scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals as part of the Medical Affairs team.
- Participate in Medical Affairs project assignments.
- Communicate scientific concepts effectively to multiple audiences — verbally, graphically, and in writing.
- Contribute to key department functions (e.g., medical information) and inter-departmental initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required: Doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, MD).
- Required: Prior experience in psychiatry-related field; preference for pharmaceutical industry experience in schizophrenia and mood disorders.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience as an MSL or in Medical Affairs.
- Preferred: Experience in clinical research and/or direct patient care.
- Required: Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to a variety of audiences.
- Required: Adept at building and maintaining relationships with others.
- Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Required: Demonstrated ability to adapt within a dynamic environment.
- Required: Willingness to travel (75%) and easy access to a major metropolitan airport.
