Role Summary
Medical Science Liaison (Psychiatry) in the Great Lakes region. The role involves engaging in scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals as part of the Medical Affairs team, supporting project work, communicating complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences, and contributing to medical information and inter-departmental initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Engage in scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals as part of the Medical Affairs team.
- Participate in Medical Affairs project assignments.
- Communicate scientific concepts effectively to multiple audiences — verbally, graphically, and in writing.
- Contribute to key department functions (e.g., medical information) and inter-departmental initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required: Doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, MD)
- Required: Prior experience in psychiatry-related field
- Preferred: Pharmaceutical industry experience in schizophrenia and mood disorders
- Preferred: 2+ years as an MSL or in Medical Affairs
- Preferred: Experience in clinical research and/or direct patient care
- Required: Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to a variety of audience types
- Required: Adept at building and maintaining relationships with others
- Required: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Required: Demonstrated ability to adapt within a dynamic environment
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel (75%) and easy access to a major metropolitan airport
