Role Summary

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) supports the medical and scientific utilization of ADCT products in the Northeast region (MA, VT, NH, ME, RI, CT, NYC). The role involves serving as an expert in hematology/oncology, providing balanced information to healthcare professionals, researchers, and payer decision makers, and developing peer-level relationships at national, regional, and local levels. This field-based position collects field insights to inform Medical Affairs objectives and reports to the Head of Field Medical Affairs and Medical Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide healthcare professionals with credible, balanced, scientific information about ADCT and its products, pipeline, research activities, and product development. Respond to unsolicited medical information requests in the field.
  • Develop territory plans to initiate and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers (HCPs).
  • Maintain medical expertise and a strong understanding of hematology/oncology clinical practice.
  • Cover sessions and collect insights at scientific congresses.
  • Develop and demonstrate competencies in understanding and communicating relevant scientific information, including disease state, therapeutic landscape, clinical data, mechanism of action for therapeutic agents, and real-world evidence (RWE).
  • Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards in accordance with relevant guidelines.
  • Project leadership of pre-clinical and clinical stage assets.
  • Collaborate with key functional leaders and project team members to build collegiate, compliant, and successful teams.
  • Manage and coordinate the timely delivery of deliverables and milestones for project teams.
  • Proactively plan and facilitate meetings, provide meeting materials and timely meeting minutes.
  • Co-develop project plans and strategies with teams; ensure cross-functional alignment with stakeholders.
  • Provide financial oversight by reviewing budgetary requests within timelines, milestones, financial impact, and long-term goals.
  • Coordinate with global project management peers to ensure consistency of project management across the organization.
  • Prepare and deliver project updates and stage-gate presentations for executive management.
  • Support alliance management to ensure effective interactions and joint project teams with partners as necessary.
  • Escalate issues and communicate decisions to cross-functional team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in life sciences (MD, PharmD or PhD).
  • Preferred: MSL experience in hematology/oncology.
  • Required: Proven ability to create and sustain relationships with industry leaders.
  • Required: Previous experience in hematology/oncology.
  • Required: Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and work effectively with minimal supervision in a constantly changing environment.
  • Required: Knowledge of PhRMA, OIG and other relevant guidelines.
  • Required: Good understanding of the clinical development process and ICH-GCP guidelines.

Additional Requirements

  • Field-based role – must be located within the pre-specified regional territory.
  • Travel – approximately 50-60% of the time.
