Role Summary
The Medical Science Liaison (Neurology) - Mid-Atlantic role involves engaging in scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals as part of the Medical Affairs team, participating in Medical Affairs project assignments, and communicating scientific concepts effectively to diverse audiences. The role supports key department functions and inter-departmental initiatives, with travel up to 75% and convenient access to a major metropolitan airport.
Responsibilities
- Engage in scientific exchange with expert healthcare professionals as part of the Medical Affairs team.
- Participate in Medical Affairs project assignments.
- Communicate scientific concepts effectively to multiple audiences — verbally, graphically, and in writing.
- Contribute to key department functions (e.g., medical information) and inter-departmental initiatives.
Qualifications
- Required: Doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, MD).
- Required: Prior experience in neurology-related field; preference for pharmaceutical industry experience in multiple sclerosis. Immunology experience a plus.
- Preferred: Previous experience (2+ years) as an MSL or in Medical Affairs.
- Preferred: Experience in clinical research and/or direct patient care.
- Required: Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to a variety of audience types.
- Required: Adept at building and maintaining relationships with others.
- Required: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Required: Demonstrated ability to adapt within a dynamic environment.
- Required: Willingness to travel (75%) and easy access to a major metropolitan airport.
