Position: Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Neurodegeneration (Ohio/Western PA)
Responsibilities:
- Identify disease and product-related medical needs in assigned geography; develop relationships with Thought Leaders (TLs) and HCPs.
- Provide meaningful, compliant scientific exchange (including unsolicited product, HEOR-related questions) and facilitate research and patientsβ access to medicines.
- Assess the medical landscape; maintain expertise in treatment strategies, products, unmet needs, clinical trials, and health economics/outcomes.
- Partner with HCPs on disease-state initiatives, collaborative research, and investigator-sponsored research (ISR).
- Attend medical congresses/meetings; communicate insights to medical and commercial teams.
- Plan TL/Field Medical interactions; contribute to cross-functional institution/account plans and medical programs.
- Provide medical/scientific training and updates to internal stakeholders; support promotional meetings.
- Support clinical trial activities (NIR/interventional/non-interventional, ISR support, site feasibility, PV document adherence, adverse event escalation) and CRO-sponsored studies.
Qualifications:
- MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, or NP with Neuroscience experience or broad medical/pharma background.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Disease area and scientific publication understanding; clinical trial design/process knowledge; HEOR and national healthcare/access environment knowledge; excellent English.
- 2+ years clinical/pharma experience; prior MSL experience preferred; independent/team player; strong communication/presentation; ability to translate scientific data; peer-to-peer relationship building; fast learning.
Essential/Travel:
- Ability to drive a company-provided car (ethics/integrity and safe driving history required).
- Field-based; live in territory or within 50 miles; significant travel.
