Role Summary

Medical Science Liaison- Neuro-Oncology, West (Remote). The MSL is a field-based scientist who functions as an extension of the US Medical Affairs organization, responsible for developing and enhancing professional relationships with medical thought leaders and providing medical information and scientific support for Jazz Pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers within the therapeutic area.
  • Develop and execute territory plans in alignment with US Medical Affairs plans.
  • Identify and communicate key clinical and research issues and insights from KOLs to appropriate departments.
  • Participate in medical education for healthcare professionals through on-site presentations at healthcare institutions, investigator meetings, national conferences, advisory boards, or regional meetings.
  • Provide scientific support for activities such as medical congress staffing, advisory boards, and sales training initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ability to communicate complex scientific information, clear presentation and planning skills, strategic mindset, autonomous work capability, adaptability in a changing environment, negotiation skills, relationship-building, collaboration with commercial teams, proficiency with digital tools, and excellent English.
  • Preferred: experience supporting product launches in field medical capacity; multi-molecule/therapeutic area management; clinical trial site support and patient recruitment experience; understanding regulatory requirements for field-based personnel.
  • Education and Licenses: advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ experience in Oncology or Rare Disease; or RN/NP/CNP/PA with Master’s and at least 5 years’ oncology/rare disease clinical practice; minimum 2 years as an MSL or equivalent; neuro-oncology experience strongly preferred; field position requiring 60–70% travel; valid driver’s license and residence within 60 miles of a major airport.
