Role: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in eye care, serving as a scientific and medical resource for optometrists and ophthalmologists. Objectives include compliant engagement, scientific exchange, KOL management, and support for medical initiatives. Responsibilities encompass establishing relationships with key opinion leaders, providing disease state education, gathering insights to influence medical strategies, supporting clinical trials, and participating in scientific meetings and educational programs. Requirements: Doctorate in optometry, MD, PharmD, or PhD with eye care expertise; 3+ years in eye care industry or clinical practice; strong communication, presentation, and data analysis skills; experience in eye care or clinical research preferred. High-value: field-based role covering Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Northeast Michigan, with 60-80% travel; senior level for those with >4 years of MSL experience; involvement in eye care therapeutics, clinical trial support, and KOL engagement. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and support for initiatives like investigator-sponsored trials and medical education are integral. Work setup is primarily field-based with significant travel, reporting to the National Director of Field Medical.
