Medical Science Liaison (Heme) West (CA, CO, UT, WA, OR)

Role: Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr MSL) serving as a scientific bridge to Hematology/Transplant healthcare providers, focusing on Sickle Cell and Thalassemia. Objectives: foster relationships, provide scientific engagement, inform medical strategy, and support clinical development. Responsibilities: build and maintain trusted HCP networks, incorporate the medical plan into territory planning, deliver compliant scientific discussions, utilize CRM and analytics tools effectively, represent Vertex at medical congresses, and support clinical operations with data and site nominations. Requirements: advanced biomedical or life sciences degree (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD); minimum 5 years of MSL or related experience in pharma/biotech, ideally with expertise in Hematology or Transplant; strong understanding of disease management, healthcare regulations, payers, and health economics; proficiency in English and local language; valid driver’s license with up to 70% travel, including weekends.
