Role Summary

Medical Science Liaison, CardioRenal - Allentown, PA. CardioRenal Medical Science Liaison is a field-based professional with scientific, clinical and therapeutic area expertise responsible for providing medical and scientific support for Cardiorenal marketed products, new indications for current products, and compounds in development. You will engage in scientific exchange with targeted KOLs, KDMs, and HCPs consistent with objectives, identify key customers, and develop peer-level relationships to advance therapeutic goals and clinical development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and scientific support for Cardiorenal products, new indications, and compounds in development.
  • Engage in scientific exchange with targeted KOLs, KDMs, and HCPs aligned with Medical Affairs and Therapeutic Brand Team objectives.
  • Identify and engage customers with scientific expertise and business knowledge; develop peer-level relationships with KDMs, HCPs, and researchers; identify study investigators in alignment with Clinical Development goals.
  • Identify barriers to optimal disease management and opportunities to improve patient outcomes; deliver clinical and scientific information that differentiates the company’s products.
  • Adhere to internal processes and regulatory/compliance requirements; sustain disease state expertise and awareness of emerging therapies and competition.
  • Provide clinical support and deliver data presentations regionally/nationally; lead and manage projects across the field medical team and therapeutic area; train and mentor within the therapeutic area.

Qualifications

  • Required: Advanced Clinical/Science Degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA-C; BSN with extensive clinical experience may be considered).
  • Thorough understanding of healthcare system landscape.
  • Established networks and clinical experience within Therapeutic Area focus.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to discuss scientific content to multiple audiences; excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities; excellent project management ability; thorough knowledge of regulatory environment.
  • Ability to travel 50-70% (percentage varies by geography).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Established experience delivering quality improvement initiatives.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Established track record of basic or clinical research.
