Role Summary

Medical Science Liaison (MSL) at DBV Technologies, a field-facing representative within Medical Affairs responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and Healthcare Professionals to support the medical and scientific needs of the companyโ€™s products. The MSL will engage in the exchange of scientific data and medical information with external stakeholders, provide medical education, support clinical trials, and gather field insights to inform medical strategy and ensure the appropriate understanding and utilization of DBVโ€™s products in the medical community.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and Maintain Relationships with KOLs/HCPs: Identify, develop, and manage professional relationships with KOLs, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Educate KOLs & HCPs: Provide educational information and updates to KOLs/HCPs, tailoring content to their needs.
  • Scientific Engagement: Accurately and compliantly interpret and disseminate balanced and factual scientific, clinical, and health economic data. Present scientific data at meetings, conferences, and educational sessions, ensuring clarity and engagement.
  • Gather Insights: Collect and report on insights from KOLs and HCPs to guide company/medical strategy, utilizing advanced analytics tools. Gather and report on competitive intelligence from the field, providing strategic insights to the organization on areas of therapeutic interest.
  • Provide Input for Medical Strategy: Share field insights to inform the development of medical strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Respond to Medical Information Requests (MIR): Provide responses to unsolicited medical inquiries from the healthcare community, ensuring timely and accurate information.
  • Training and Supporting Sales Force: Collaborate with the sales team to provide scientific training and support, ensuring they are well-equipped to communicate product information
  • Support Company-Sponsored Research/Trials: Coordinate and support clinical trials and other research activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support Investigator-Led Research (IITs, ISTs): Provide support for investigator-led research projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Qualifications

  • A doctorate in a health science or clinical discipline is strongly preferred (MD/DO, PharmD, Nurse Practitioner, PhD or related), however, significant clinical and/or industry experience in relevant therapeutic areas may be accepted in lieu of education requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry/clinical pharmacist/research/ related experience in a scientific or clinical setting, MSL experience preferred.
  • Strong broad-based scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge, with allergy/immunology and pediatric experience strongly preferred.
  • Clinical trial development and drug launch experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical research processes, FDA regulations and OIG guidelines are required
  • Excellent presentation and teaching skills
  • Strong overall written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to anticipate, organize, plan and handle multiple changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and not requiring close supervision while adhering to Medical Affairs strategic direction
  • Ability and interest in leading and participating in projects while effectively balancing projects with field work
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and proactively identify opportunities/issues; effectively solve problems that cross functional boundaries
  • Sound computer skills, including applications for word processing, producing slide materials, and working with spreadsheets
  • Capable of engaging in frequent business travel (approximately 50-75% of time), to include air travel, ability to travel overnight and on weekends.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driverโ€™s license
  • This is a field-based position; the employee is required to set up a home-based office.
