Role Summary

Medical Information Manager, Innovative Medicines. Manage medical information and communication for assigned Teva products, providing oversight for prompt, accurate, scientifically balanced responses to unsolicited medically-related inquiries from internal and external customers. Collaborate with North America Medical Affairs and internal departments to support development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of medically-related activities for branded products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a library of standard medical response documents (FAQs) for response to medical and product-related inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers
  • Conduct medical/scientific review of materials used in promotion of Teva’s branded products and sales training materials, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and high ethical standards
  • Provide direction to external Contact Center staff on handling unsolicited requests and provide FAQs and unique responses
  • Mentor and resource to other medical information staff and external Medical Information Contact Center specialists
  • Respond verbally to inquiries from healthcare professionals and consumers as necessary
  • Review Contact Center cases and identify training needs related to product knowledge and disease state information
  • Assist management with quality control activities and monitoring of external Contact Center calls to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Provide Medical/Scientific review of activities submitted through the Teva Healthcare Interactions Portal (HIP) involving payments to external healthcare professionals
  • Serve as primary point of contact for medical review of materials used in external communications (press releases, announcements), coordinating review with leadership
  • Assist with medical review of formulary dossiers and manage their distribution through the external Contact Center
  • Assist with development, review, and maintenance of product and disease-related slide kits with Medical Affairs personnel
  • Provide medical support for Marketing and Sales Training departments, including development of promotional and/or sales training materials
  • Provide medical information support at medical/scientific conferences
  • Provide strategic input and support to NAMA Medical Team(s) and Medical Affairs Operating Plans for assigned products
  • Assist with review of product labeling and/or monographs for inclusion in compendia
  • Prepare and participate in medical and scientific presentations for internal or external purposes
  • Assist in overall development and management of the department; demonstrate independence and initiative to implement solutions

Qualifications

  • Education Required: R.Ph. or R.N. with 5+ years in medical information or related area involving writing, communication and scientific skills; M.S., Pharm.D., or Ph.D. with 3+ years in medical information or related area
  • Experience Required: 3–5 years in medical information or related area involving writing, communication and scientific skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office; strong attention to detail and documentation
  • Scientific expertise in assigned therapeutic areas; excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of FDA CFR and guidance documents
  • Experience with review of promotional materials preferred; experience with labeling and managed care organizations a plus
