The Medical Director will provide scientific and clinical leadership across global medical affairs activities within gastric/pancreatic cancer, setting the medical strategy including evidence generation, data analysis and interpretation, publications, scientific communications, medical training, medical information, and support for payer/market access evidence generation and publications.

How you will contribute
- Provide scientific/clinical expertise and leadership to develop and execute the medical strategy and medical deliverables (evidence generation; analysis/interpretation; scientific communications and publications; medical training; medical information; congress strategy; thought-leader engagement)
- Develop an in-depth understanding of cancer patient needs and focus activities to meet those needs
- Represent Medical Affairs on the Global Product Team (GPT) and Global Brand Team (GBT) to provide medical input into clinical development for patient- and customer-centric planning
- Facilitate cross-regional alignment and gather Local Operating Company (LOC) feedback for development and life-cycle management plans
- Provide input into asset strategy and brand team/tactical planning
- Lead or support evidence generation (Phase 3B/4) with interventional/observational research focused on gastric/pancreatic cancer pathways and biomarker/diagnostic considerations
- Lead or support Collaborative and/or Investigator Initiated Studies (IISR)
- Lead/execute global advisory board meetings; communicate key findings across clinical development, medical affairs, and commercial teams
- Support global publication strategy and publication plan execution
- Provide guidance for internal training, congress plans, and company-sponsored symposia
- Foster relationships with global cancer research organizations/institutions
- Establish/manage KOL and HCP interactions; lead/support global KOL engagement plan
- Build long-term cross-functional relationships across regions and LOCs
- Represent Takeda Oncology at external engagements

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- MD, PharmD, or PhD required
- 7+ years post-doctorate healthcare or related experience
- 5+ years Medical Affairs experience or related industry experience; launch experience preferred
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical industry dynamics and brand lifecycle (cross-functional perspectives)
- Oncology and/or hematology-oncology experience preferred
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in complex matrix environments and drive decisions across multi-disciplinary, multi-regional teams
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Experience understanding multiple regional/country markets
- Deep understanding of the therapeutic area/brand and stakeholder needs
- Experience overseeing/managing budgets
- Advanced PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint); AI tools experience preferred

Travel Requirements
- Up to 25% domestic and international travel required
