Clinical Research and Development
Role: Medical Director, Clinical Science, GI2 TAU, leading global clinical development strategies for Takeda's pipeline compounds, primarily in gastrointestinal therapeutic areas. Responsibilities: oversee multi-regional, multidisciplinary teams; develop and execute global clinical plans; guide study protocols, interpret clinical data, and make high-stakes development decisions; manage external regulatory and KOL interactions; evaluate potential business collaborations; mentor staff; and represent Takeda in cross-functional and external meetings. Requirements: MD or equivalent; 5+ years in clinical research within pharma, CRO, or academia; experience leading global clinical teams and regulatory submissions (NDA/MAA); strong strategic, communication, and negotiation skills; knowledge of therapeutic mechanisms, regional regulations, and emerging research. Preferred: NDA/MAA experience, management background. High-Value: Focus on clinical development in GI area, global regulatory interaction, cross-regional team leadership, and strategic decision-making. Work Setup: hybrid in Cambridge, MA, with some international collaboration.
