Role: Medical Director providing medical leadership across XBiotech's multi-therapeutic biologics portfolio, including oncology, rheumatology, and infectious diseases. Responsibilities: oversee clinical trials, design development plans, serve as medical monitor, build and manage expert networks, contribute to regulatory submissions, and lead medical affairs activities such as publications and advisory boards. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (regulatory, clinical operations) and external stakeholders (KOLs, consultants). Requirements: MD or equivalent with 5-7+ years in early-stage biotech/pharma, strong biologics and clinical trial expertise, experience with regulatory agencies (FDA/IPR), excellent scientific communication, and leadership skills. Preferred: board certification in relevant fields, prior startup/biotech experience, publications in diverse areas, and experience with CROs. High-Value: multi-therapeutic biologics, early clinical development phases, IND experience, cross-disciplinary medical leadership, and external stakeholder engagement. Work setup involves approximately 20-30% travel for conferences, advisory meetings, and site visits.
